Pastor
Richard Reynolds
Richard Scott Reynolds was born in Indianapolis, IN into a Christian home, the youngest of six children, in 1962. He was born again in 1974 at the end of a Sunday evening service in a small Baptist church in Indianapolis.
Richard moved with his family to the country in 1973. There he learned to appreciate God’s creation by raising chickens, cows and exploring the great outdoors while hunting and fishing. He graduated from Cloverdale High School and earned a bachelors degree in Political Science from Indiana State University in 1985. He was baptized at Cornerston Baptist Church, Lawrence, IN, where he was active in Ministry, teaching Sunday School, music, bus ministry and visitation.
Richard married Tonya Tidd in 1998 and they have four children: Drew (Kimberly) and first grandson Garrett, Victoria and Samuel, both pursuing careers in Indianapolis, and Gianna, still at home.
Early in life, Richard felt the Lord was leading him into a political career. In fact, he was running for office when he met Pastor Fredrick Boyd at Zion Unity Missionary Baptist Church. No one knew at that time what the Lord had in store but this was a providential meeting that would reveal itself in time.
Richard was called to pastor Walnut Street Baptist Church in Lebanon, IN in March, 2020 and he continues to practice and prepare for when the Lord is ready for him at Zion Unity.
